Renewal Notices
You should receive your renewal in the mail directly from your company approximately 30 days prior to the renewal date. Please read it over and contact us if you have any questions. It is normal for each insurance company to adjust their premiums annually. If you notice a change in premium that you feel is exceptional, contact us immediately so that we can see if any adjustments can be made to lower the premium. |

Vehicle Rentals
One of the most common questions we receive concerning auto insurance is, "Do I need to buy the insurance that the rental car company pushes when renting a car?" In most cases, your auto policy transfers coverage from your car to any vehicle you rent. There's a chance that your policy may not provide for such things as new versus remanufactured parts or for the rental car's downtime. The rental car company can charge you for these.

Auto Body & Glass Repair Facilities
There seems to be some confusion about what glass facilities you may or may not use. You have the right to choose any repair facility you see fit. No insurance company or agent can force you to use a particular facility. An insurance company will only pay fair and reasonable charges. You may be held responsible for any other charges. There is nothing stating how much a facility can charge, but there is a maximum an insurance company will pay. Here are a couple of caveats for you to consider:
If a company is offering free dinners to pay your deductible, or any other incentives, beware. Make sure they state in writing that they will accept what the insurance company pays and that they will not bill you for anything.

Car washes (and lately some gas stations) have vendors that will offer to repair chips in your car's windshield. Though they may be legitimate, we have had cases where they have billed insurance companies for work they didn't really do (such as repairing a single chip but billing for 2 or 3). You do not see what they bill the insurance company. You only find out when your claims record is revealed to you.
We suggest that you phone us before agreeing to any covered repair no matter how large or small. We have a list of accredited repair companies that, through our past experience, we trust to treat you fairly.
